Barth’s Valley Pool Supplies is a family owned and operated business founded by Edward “Bud” and Doris Jean Barth. Barth’s is the original home town shop next door. The business began in 1965 in the form of building swimming pools. That later progressed in 1980 in the form of a small retail shop to sell chemicals and maintain the pools that we had built around the area. Who would know that the demand for pool and spa chemicals would be so high? A few years later Bud and Doris purchased an old milk barn on the corner of 27th and East Main in Puyallup and transformed it into the shop that is today. Although we no longer build pools or go on service calls, we offer a complete line of Chlor., Bromine, Baquacil, Baq Spa, filters, pumps, maintenance equipment, covers and toys for pools and spa’s. One of our specialties is locating many hard to find parts, as well as doing free water testing! In 1997 Doris was diagnosed with cancer and as a result was forced into retirement. At that time management was left to me, Michelle Woolf, granddaughter of Bud and Doris. I worked beside them for 17 years and it is a great honor to carry on their tradition.
